My Goals with this Blog...

Are to document my experiences with various income streams and programs in my quest to becoming a full time freelancer working from home. I plan to list my current 'eggs' and to post the things that have and haven't worked for me.

An eBusiness?

I've been over the past few months hemming and hawing about the possibility of bootstrapping an eCommerce store/ or Business. It's okay doing the freelancing thing, and my blogs do give me a nice foundation, but frankly I need something to help me out without having to fall on someone else.

I've been juggling ideas like drop shipping and selling actual items, even being a re seller for some places. But that requires money. Money is still rather spare to come by.

Then I went 'ebooks'? When I first heard of them I wasn't that impressed. I was raised on paper backs and hardbacks and libraries. Then the internet came out where anyone can type and share and over share.... I've heard if you are an awesome story teller you can write up these little stories or help guides (too small for a physical book, too big for a blog post) and flip them.

I've been told I can make a big yarn. But I also am sorta strapped what with work (still from home!) having me work nights and gaming and such I just don't have the energy.

But there is that thing called reselling. The idea - you find or purchase ebooks with resell rights and resell them. Maybe a change or there to point people back to you. Tempting! I was like 'well, lets get some and go ebay! I did that but my is ebay rough on the sales. The profit looked tiny at best. All arrows are pointing to go the website route.

Not this get a doman and stay with a free host, website but full on hosting and management.

This whole thing is taking a serious pull in my mind.

I think I will indeed take that step I should have years ago and get a web host. Then take an even bigger risk and make me that eshop. Will it work? I don't know. Might as well give it a go.

And when I do, I will def have to make a blog series about this adventure!
