My Goals with this Blog...

Are to document my experiences with various income streams and programs in my quest to becoming a full time freelancer working from home. I plan to list my current 'eggs' and to post the things that have and haven't worked for me.

It sucks when you feel like you've been had.

After applying for a sorta fun sounding offer from HelloHello.com, I've found out I've been had. The ads on Craigs go like this:

'Online Business is looking for people who like to blog.
Who know facebook, myspace, twitter and other social sites a plus.
Part Time and work could be done at home or at downtown office.

Email us for more information'

Now mind you they've been posting for a few months now for those same number of bloggers. So I write in around June. I get a message that sounds like an auto email message. I join their site. Kinda meh looking but it is a site. I start blogging. I hear nothing. I forget about it till now.

I see the same ad with the added part of:

'Also:
If you are interested in doing some articles and the press releases.
At this time we are looking for:
(3)Three 350-400 word articles about Hellohello.net
(2)Two Press Releases on HelloHello.net
Please email us what you will charge?'

So I try again. I discover A. the site has been moved. All the stuff I did was gone. So I had to start again. B. there was an address from one of the founders addressing user discontent. That sounds of the not good.

Along with the resend I post my pr 3 blog's rates for a post. $10-15 isn't a high rate as most of the paid posts I receive about about that. I hear nothing. Deciding to inquire seriously I pst one of the mods. Mod seems sorta confused. I get a snippy letter from Bob the guy I initially wrote to sounding all confused. I restate who I am (as ppl seem to not get initial DS to everything except personal correspondence) and if the job is open.

He said my blog rate is too high and he's looking at other writers. When the Hell was he gunna say that! He also seemed mad that I called him out on the auto email responder. Basically the ad is a way to fill members to there site. There is no paid blogging position. You have to be direct to get a word out. Very annoying. Needless to say my HelloHello account went poof. I dislike being lead on and bamboozled. They best re work that ad or they'll have alot of angry people leaving as soon as they figure out what's up.
