My Goals with this Blog...

Are to document my experiences with various income streams and programs in my quest to becoming a full time freelancer working from home. I plan to list my current 'eggs' and to post the things that have and haven't worked for me.

Things that Worked-Blogging

Breaking into paid blogging is a iffy enterprise. Many points can make this hard:

  • having a blog less than 3 months old lowers your chances greatly

  • some places wont take your blog due to having a specific niche

  • some places do not like blogs with copied content; even if said copied content is just youtube movies with commentary

  • some companies have barely any campaigns

But once you break this hurdle and find some decent companies, (don't stop at just the well known companies, Craigslist has a few sneakily recruiting for bloggers) you can find your self making decent money for blogging. Sneaking in posts between your regular posts and inserting paid links into scheduled posts isn't very hard. In fact if readers looking into the links ad enjoys the post, it's a win win for both you, them, and the people paying for the posting. I suggest having more than one blog to spread out the work. Having a battalion of paid stuff on one blog will make it spammy- you don't want to piss off your readers now! :)
